Technical Tasting Notes
2022 Ebenezer Shiraz
This wine comes from a barrel selection of our Ebenezer Vineyards in the Northern Barossa Valley. These families have farmed these vineyards for over 150 years. This wine stands tall in the wonderful 2022 vintage, it carries a magnificent balance despite the richness and power that is unique to the Northern reaches of the Barossa Valley.
Deep bright red tinged with purple. An obvious richness present on the nose and palate, but balanced, blackberry and blueberry fruit the dominant character supported by a strong backbone of fine tannin. A complete wine even at this young age but will improve with some time in the cellar

2022 Ebenezer Shiraz
Steve Leszczynski (www.qwinereviews.com)
93 Points - A wine of measured depth and reach, this Hayes Family Wines Ebenezer Shiraz developed fabulously over a few days. Note, the bottle pictured is indicative only. This sample is hot off the press and the official bottle pics have not been taken as yet. Substitute the blue band for a pink one that states Ebenezer. Exclusively available to select restaurants and at the cellar door, this saw 40% new French oak for 16 months.
Loaded with interest, as all Hayes Family Wines are, concentrated dark fruits and meaty spices surge early to gain your attention with a pretty raspberry ripple whipping through late. Dark chocolate, some earthiness as well as exotic and Moroccan spices continue to add to the detail. Long, moreish, and a wine intent on hugging every crevice of the mouth, it's a wine you'd reach for to sit beside a fabulous cut of steak. Big love.
