For visitors who really wish to experience the very best of the Barossa Valley, including everything that we do at Hayes Family Wines, we offer unique experiences that will see you enjoying activities as diverse as a vineyard walk and tasting of the wines that we make from a specific block, a tutored tasting of our Estate Wines with our winemaker, sampling from barrels that will make the next years release, blending your own tawny port to take home, through to playing your special role in harvest and winemaking activities. All experiences are aimed at being fun and informative, customised to your group’s specific knowledge level and interests.
We also cater for special one of experiences, we can design an experience just for you.
At the end of each unique experience, visitors are invited to relax and taste their way through a selection of Hayes Family Wines finest wines.

Join us for a trip down the dirt roads and behind the locked gates on Hayes Family Wines secret “Single Vineyard” touring route. No signs, no maps, just a guided tour to the hidden Hayes Family Wines special sites, those that grow our very best Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Choose your favourite variety or discover them all over lunch with us at our favourite restaurant. You will also get a special 6 pack to take home.

The Hayes Family Wines Family Selection is a collection of best of vintage wines that we make in any given year. They span special blocks, in special vintages in very small volumes (often 1 or 2 barrels). Our team will explain the background of the vineyard, the grapes or the given vintage or winemaking that makes each wine special.
The tasting will not be rushed. You will have access to one of our specialist team to have all your questions answered. An exploration of special sites in a special year.

There is no better place to get to know us and our wines. But perhaps there is. Enjoy that tasting, of our full range of Estate Wines.
This experience offers just a little more, the opportunity to hear about the specifics of our Certified Organic Estate vineyard and wines and importantly the people behind those wines.
The Hayes Family Wines Cellar door is a great place to visit, nestled amongst the vines of our Certified Organic Stone Well Vineyard on Mattiske Road in the central Barossa Valley. There is no better place to get to know us and our wines. But perhaps there is. Our fortifieds cover the full spectrum of the great wines of yesteryear. From a range of tawnies spanning almost a century in barrel to classics rare Muscat and Topaque from our old Rutherglen Stocks.
This experience offers just a little more, the opportunity to taste, discuss and purchase a range of very special wines the diversity of which cannot be tasted anywhere else in the Barossa Valley.
Events & Dinners
Hayes Family Wines conduct dinners and participate in tasting events across the country and in select international markets. These events will be progressively scheduled when conditions allow.

Once again, I am heading North, this time to Mackay for a dinner at one of MacKay’s very best venue’s, The Dispensary. When it comes to great food, few if any are better. Enjoy a wonderful Australian menu paired with the very best of Hayes Family Wines.
We will be in an in our own space, but dinner is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Hayes Family Wines are well known for our great wine, food and our great friends that we have across the globe. But we also love a round of golf at our local course. After the success of the 2024 and 2025 events, we will be back again in October 2026 with Hayes Family Wines Ambrose Pairs.
The Tanunda Pines is a wonderful country course. Since 1939, the Pines Golf Course has been located on its current site at Pioneer Avenue, Rowland Flat. Set amongst the vines of the wonderful Barossa Valley there can be few better places for a round of golf with friends.
Carts will be provided along with a bacon and egg roll before you start and a casual lunch after the game.
Format will be Ambrose Pairs. We are keen to get all levels of golfer involved, so a Official Handicap is not required but honesty preferred. Burglars will not be invited back. There will be Prizes and a Perpetual Trophy for the winners and place getters as well as a few hole prizes along the way.

After a wonderful day’s golf as part of the Hayes Family Wines Ambrose Pairs we are taking the opportunity to celebrate by sharing a meal at the Barossa’s best restaurant, Vintners Bar and Grill with matching Hayes Family Wines favourites.
Dinner is open for playing and non-playing friends of Hayes Family Wines.

We offer a range of virtual tastings at different times throughout the year. In addition to our schedule tastings, it is possible to schedule custom tasting for your group. You can taste all the new releases from the comfort of your own home. Sessions are typically run for approximately 90 minutes.
Each person participating in the sessions will be sent a pack of 6 wines (60ml per wine) along with a tasting map. The sessions will be run by Hayes Family Wines Owner, Brett Hayes, and Winemaker, Andrew Seppelt.
