Vintage 2018 is upon us

After a cool and at times downright cold winter, a beautiful and wet spring and a dry and at times very hot summer, Vintage 2018 will soon be upon us. At this stage, we expect to pick our first grapes, the 2018 Semillon from Marcus' vineyard in Ebenezer on Monday or Tuesday next week.

At this stage the grapes look like they have come through the heat with flying colours, modest baume's and excellent flavour development. This year we will be harvesting from an additional four vineyards, a dry grown Grenache block in Ebenezer, Koonunga, Coonawarra and the Adelaide Hills. As usual just very small quantities but these select patches are sure to deliver very interesting grapes. An exciting vintage no doubt but a long way to go.
