As a region the Barossa has overcome its share of challenges in 2020, but the community is banding together to deliver the much-loved Barossa Vintage Festival in April 2021. The 2021 Barossa Vintage Festival program, unveiled online recently, features 75+ events showcasing the Barossa’s incredible wine, food, art and culture. The Barossa Vintage Festival offers 75+ opportunities to live like a local and soak up the Barossa way of life. Experience what it’s like to live in one of the best regions in the world; go behind the scenes with some of the region’s top winemakers; secure rare and distinguished wines direct from producers, learn the tricks of the trade with local artisans, slow down and enjoy as renowned chefs present their pick of local produce.

We love the Vintage Festival having attended for almost 30 years. At Hayes Family Wines, we not only enjoy participating and attending events, but also enjoy the opportunity to host events. The 2021 Vintage Festival will be no different with Hayes Family Wines Hosting two events, Old Vines to Great Wines and Legends Behind the Barrel. Two great events not be missed.

Old Vines to Great Wines, where you will have the opportunity to experience Vintage First Hand, tour our Vineyard, Winery and Cellar Door with me, taste the Wines from both bottle and barrel made from the Vines that you will visit.
Legends Behind the Barrel
The Barossa is rightly famous for its large producers but there are many small producers doing absolutely fantastic things in the vineyards and wineries across the Barossa. Not only do they make great wine, they are great people. Our Legends Behind the Barrel event will give you the opportunity to get to know 12 of the very best, taste there wines from barrel and bottle and have the opportunity to purchase once only wines that will only be available to purchase on the day.
